Bafana Bafana claimed a 3-1 victory over Zambia in an international friendly match at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Saturday.

In a first half that lacked clear-cut goal scoring opportunities from both sides, it was Oswin Appollis who broke the deadlock on the stroke of halftime after a delightful pass from Sipho Mbule.

The ‘Master Chef’, as the Orlando Pirates midfielder is fondly known, set up substitute Mohau Nkota, who curled one past Toaster Nsabata in the Zambian goal two minutes after the hour mark.

Nkota went on to deliver a pinpoint cross from a corner kick six minutes later, with Sphephelo Sithole heading home to make it 3-0.

The visitors scored a consolation goal in stoppage time as Joseph Sabobo chipped Sipho Chaine, who replaced Ronwen Williams at half time.
