Bahoya features as France U21s retain Group C lead | OneFootball

Jean-Mattéo Bahoya played 66 minutes as France U21s were held to a 1-1 draw by Iceland in their latest European U21 Championship qualifying fixture.

The Leeds United winger continued his involvement in the campaign, earning another start for Les Bleus as they looked to maintain their position at the top of Group C.

Mathys Tel gave France the lead in the 31st minute, but Iceland responded through Daníel Tristan Guðjohnsen seven minutes into the second half.

The result leaves France at the summit of the qualifying group, with three fixtures remaining.

Bahoya has now made three appearances during the qualification campaign. The 21-year-old made a significant contribution in France's opening group match against the Faroe Islands, recording one goal and three assists.

France will return to action on Tuesday 29 September, when they face Estonia in their next Group C fixture. Kick-off is scheduled for 5pm (BST).
