Ousmane Dembélé was crowned the 2025 Ballon d'Or winner on Monday, September 22, beating out Lamine Yamal and Vitinha. Pedri, on his part, finished in 11th place in the voting. This position sparked a reaction in Spain, where the media rallied in support of the Barça midfielder, claiming he deserved more recognition.
Asked about the ranking this Tuesday ahead of the Champions League showdown between Barça and PSG, the young midfielder was unequivocal. "I feel valued at my club and in the national team. That's what matters most. I have the fans' affection," he replied.
