Former Italy international Mario Balotelli is a free agent and could continue his career in Brazil with reports of negotiations with Corinthians.
SuperMario turns 34 next month and is out of contract after his latest experience with Turkish side Adana Demirspor.
Last term, he managed to score seven goals and provide one assist, but only made 16 appearances in the Turkish Super Lig.
He has no intention of hanging up his boots yet and UOL Esporte in Brazil suggest that Balo is in talks with Corinthians.
According to these sources, his personal terms are proving an obstacle, as the Italian wants €1.5m per season net just as a signing-on fee, plus a salary worth €3m per season.
Brazilian reporter Renato Mauricio Prado finds the idea of Corinthians signing Balo “a tragicomedy” and “ridiculous. It is better not to sign anyone than to sign Balotelli.”
Balotelli was a huge hope for the future of Italian football when impressing at Inter and Manchester City, but it started to go downhill with a series of transfers and short-lived experiences.
