Robert Lewandowski finally breaks his silence after missing his penalty against Sevilla FC on Sunday night in La Liga.

Hours after Barcelona's defeat to Sevilla FC (4-1), Robert Lewandowski joined up with the Polish national team. The main objective: to prepare for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Lithuania and New Zealand. Speaking to the media alongside coach Jan Urban on Monday, Lewandowski remained optimistic despite the setback at the Sánchez Pizjuán, insisting that Barça will come out stronger from this.

"Matches like yesterday's (against Sevilla) happen. That's football. Things don't always go as you want. Missed penalties are part of this sport. It hurts today, but I hope we will respond positively. These kinds of moments can make us stronger," he stated.

Lewy assured that the dressing room "wants to erase this disappointment", even if "it has to be proven on the pitch."
