After assisting twice in their last La Liga outing against rivals Espanyol, the 22-year-old was in fine form once again as the Catalan giants faced another of their rivals in the last four of the Spanish Cup.

Hansi Flick's side take a comfortable 4-0 lead into the second-half, with the likes of Lamine Yamal, Robert Lewandowski, Marcus Rashford and Dani Olmo still on the bench.

López assisted Ferran Torres for Barcelona's opening goal in the 22nd minute before getting on the scoresheet himself less than 10 minutes later.

In doing so, López became the second youngest player to both score and assist in a Spanish Super Cup semi-final, after his Barcelona teammate Gavi did so against the same opposition last year.

López didn't stop there, however, as he assisted once again, this time for Roony Bardghji, as the hosts extended their lead to three.

Raphinha then rounded off a stellar first half for Flick's side to make it four before the break.

Surely there is no way back for Athletic Club from here?
