FC Barcelona finished the 2024-25 season last night after playing their last league match of the La Liga campaign against Athletic Club. The Blaugranes beat the Basque side with a 0-3 scoreline and showed their competitiveness despite there not being much at stake in this game.
However, despite the inconsequential nature of this game, this was still a special night for the veteran striker Robert Lewandowski, as his two goals allowed him to complete his century of goals in a Barcelona shirt and took his goals tally with the Catalan club to 101 goals.
The Polish veteran also talked to the media after the game and expressed his feelings after missing out on the Pichichi title this season.
Furthermore, as Mundo Deportivo has reported, Lewandowski also recorded a video that was published by the Barcelona social media in which he highlighted his team’s successful season and gave hints about his future at the club. In this message, the Polish veteran said:
“Hello, culés! How are you? I have to say I’m very proud of the team. I’m very proud of what we’ve achieved this season, and I think you’re all very happy with what we’ve done on the pitch. Thank you very much for the support. See you next season. Goodbye!”

With this message, the Pole has confirmed his presence in the Blaugrana squad for the next season. Although his presence in the team was not really in doubt, there were still some concerns at the Catalan club about his age, as he will be 37 years old when the next season kicks off.
However, as he showed last season, he is still one of the most competent strikers playing in Europe, and the way he has maintained his fitness, he still has some years to keep playing at the highest level.
