Barcelona again pay tribute to Kobe Bryant with new away kit | OneFootball

Barcelona have unveiled their 2026-27 away kit, again paying tribute to Kobe Bryant. The Nike logo makes way for the late NBA star’s emblem, Bryant having died aged 41 in 2020.

As reported by L'Équipe, it is the second consecutive season the Catalan side will carry the Kobe brand mark on their away shirt in collaboration with Nike, with subtle references to his career. Bryant had expressed his enjoyment watching Messi, Iniesta and the team, and said it was his dream to attend a match at Camp Nou.

The new design features a gradient fading from black to purple, with fine yellow details evoking the Los Angeles Lakers’ colours. Bryant spent 20 years with the franchise.

A discreet snake-skin inspired pattern runs across the kit, while a quote is hidden inside the collar reading, ‘Leave the game better than you found it’.

A day earlier, Real Madrid also revealed their away strip. It uses a green base with off-white trim in a nod to the club’s 2012-2013 third kit, plus a subtle geometric motif incorporating the initials RMCF.
