FC Barcelona could be looking at the possibility of signing a new striker in the summer transfer window of 2026.

Robert Lewandowski’s contract with the club expires next June, and even if he renews, the veteran will be turning 38 years old in August 2026.

There have been reports of Barça deciding to bank on Ferran Torres as their main centre-forward next season, while keeping their eyes on the market for any viable opportunities.

Dusan Vlahovic an option for Barcelona

Now, according to Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic could be an option for Barcelona in the summer of 2026.

The towering centre-forward is in the final year of his contract with the Bianconeri and is not expected to renew his deal with the Italian giants.

As such, an exit on a free transfer awaits in the summer, and as per the report, Barcelona could be a possible destination for the Serbian international.

Vlahovic has been linked with the Blaugrana in the past, and considering his potential availability for free, coupled with the club’s financial situation, a move could be seen as a possibility.

Apart from Barcelona, their La Liga rivals Atletico Madrid are also seen as an option for the Serbian striker, who has four goals in four games this season.

Beyond that, Manchester United are also touted as a potential destination, considering Benjamin Sesko’s slow start and Joshua Zirkzee’s inconsistent performances.

It remains to be seen if Barcelona are indeed willing to consider a move for Vlahovic, or whether Joan Laporta opts to go after a bigger name, considering that it is, after all, the presidential election year.
