Meanwhile, the last few hours have seen the Blaugranes being closely linked with the Spanish midfielder Rodri Hernandez, and the Catalans have already made their first offer to Manchester City for his signing.

One midfielder who was already expected to depart from the club even before these developments was Marc Casado, but de Jong’s injury could have opened an avenue for him to continue with the Catalan club. However, if Rodri is signed, he will again have no place in Flick’s plans.

Al-Hilal remains one club interested in his signing. However, the Saudi club has already seen their first offer for the midfielder rejected by Barcelona, and according to Mundo Deportivo, differences between the two clubs about the player’s valuation remain. The Blaugranes are asking €40 million for the Spaniard, while the Saudis are not willing to offer more than €30 million.

As far as the player himself is concerned, negotiations between him and Al-Hilal are also quite advanced, and the two parties have a good relationship. However, the involved clubs will have to reach an agreement before a transfer can be concluded.

Meanwhile, several clubs from Europe are also interested in him, and Marc Casado himself would prefer an alternative that allows him to continue playing at the highest level in the continent. However, Al-Hilal remains the side most interested in him, as clubs from the Premier League, Serie A, and Bundesliga have not made any offers despite having shown an interest in the Barcelona midfielder.
