La Liga giants Barcelona have on Thursday announced a damaging blow on the personnel front.
This comes amid confirmation that midfield standout Pedri is set for an incoming spell on the treatment table.
Pedri was for his part in from the off yesterday evening, as Barcelona made the trip to Czechia for a Champions League meeting with Slavia Praha.
En route to a 4-2 Blaugrana triumph, however, the Spanish international was forced into a premature departure from proceedings just shy of the hour mark.
After pulling up suddenly with a muscular problem, Pedri was in turn quickly hooked by Hansi Flick and his staff.
And as alluded to above, the extent of the 23-year-old’s latest fitness setback has since been revealed.
As per a statement across Barcelona’s website and social media platforms:
‘Tests conducted this morning have confirmed that first team player Pedro González “Pedri” has a right hamstring injury, which he picked up during the game against Slavia Prague yesterday. The recovery time is expected to be one month.’
