The brass at Barcelona are continuing to mull over a move for the breakout star of the La Liga campaign to date.

That’s according to journalist Adrian Sanchez, speaking to Mas Que Pelotas, who points towards Karl Etta Eyong as the player in question.

Frontman Etta Eyong is for his part in the midst of nothing short of a stellar start to the season.

All told, across stints with Villarreal and Levante, the 22-year-old has managed nine direct goal contributions in 11 appearances.

After emerging onto the La Liga scene over the latter half of last season, Etta Eyong is now considered one of the standout talents in all of Spanish football.

And fully aware of such abilities are those in a position of power at Barcelona.

The Blaugrana, on the lookout for a long-term replacement for Robert Lewandowski, have been repeatedly credited with an interest in Etta Eyong’s signing over recent weeks.

And as alluded to above, on Tuesday, an update on the situation has come to the fore.

As per market expert Adrian Sanchez:

“The Barcelona sporting management is quite clear that it (a deal for Etta Eyong) would be an easy and profitable operation.”
