Barcelona have signed Croatian goalkeeper Dominik Livakovic from Fenerbahce in Türkiye, confirming a four-year deal to 30 June 2030.
According to Goal.com, Barcelona will pay an initial €2 million, with performance-related add-ons that could add a further €2 million.
Talks accelerated over the past week. The plan had been to sign Livakovic then loan him for 2026-27, before integrating him after Wojciech Szczesny’s deal expires next year. The hierarchy advanced the timeline after his standout displays at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Livakovic arrived in Catalonia earlier this week, completed his medical, and signed the paperwork. He dined at Botafumeiro with president Joan Laporta and vice-president Rafa Yuste, alongside agent Andy Bara, before formalities involving Deco and Bojan Krkic.
He is set to begin as understudy to Joan Garcia, the preferred number one. Szczesny is likely to be third-choice for the final year of his contract. Flick now has three senior keepers for a demanding domestic and European schedule.
Barcelona intend to integrate Livakovic into training immediately to be ready for upcoming La Liga fixtures.
