Barcelona deal for key transfer target labelled as ‘unlikely’ | OneFootball

La Liga giants Barcelona are considered unlikely to strike a deal for Borussia Dortmund star Ryerson next summer.

This comes amid the understanding that Dortmund are eager to keep hold of the talented defender.

Ryerson’s name has of course emerged as a prominent one in the headlines across Catalunya’s capital over recent days.

As much comes with Barcelona having been widely tipped to launch an offensive for the Norwegian’s signature.

Amid an ongoing search for competition for Jules Koundé at right-back in Hansi Flick’s squad, Ryerson has been identified as the ideal profile.

Those of a Blaugrana persuasion hopeful of seeing the 28-year-old take to the pitch in their side’s colours next season, though, need not get their hopes up.

As per a report from Mundo Deportivo, citing German outlet BILD:

‘The transfer is unlikely. His club isn’t considering a transfer. He’s a regular starter. Only seven players have played more minutes (for Dortmund) this season.’
