Barcelona dealt sudden injury blow before Valencia | OneFootball

La Liga champions Barcelona have on Saturday been dealt a blow on the personnel front.

This comes amid confirmation that Lamine Yamal played no part in group training with the rest of Hansi Flick’s squad.

As per a report from Blaugrana insider Víctor Navarro:

‘Lamine Yamal is not training due to physical issues. Hansi Flick will provide more details at 1pm in the press room. Lamine is in the gym.’

Wide-man Lamine is for his part fresh off starting in both of Spain’s World Cup qualifying fixtures during the September international break.

During the first, in a comfortable victory over Bulgaria, though, the 18-year-old was spotted repeatedly clutching at his lower back.

It is as of yet not clear if the same problem kept him out of training on Saturday, but the widespread expectation is that Lamine will play no part in Barca’s return to action against Valencia on Sunday.
