Juventus fought back from 3-2 down to beat Inter 4-3 in an insane Derby d’Italia, where both Khephren and Marcus Thuram were on target, until the late Vasilije Adzic screamer.
The pressure was already on the Nerazzurri after a surprise home defeat to Udinese, so Manuel Akanji was thrown straight in for his debut after the move from Manchester City, while Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Carlos Augusto were preferred to Petar Sucic and Federico Dimarco. Juve had a 100 per cent record without conceding, but Andrea Cambiaso was still suspended, with Francisco Conceicao, Fabio Miretti, Juan Cabal, Arek Milik and new buy Edon Zhegrova injured. Brothers Marcus and Khephren faced off, with father Lilian Thuram in the stands.

Nicolò Barella’s well-taken volley flashed inches wide from the edge of the area in the opening minutes, then Kenan Yildiz created a double opportunity, as first Pierre Kalulu and then Vlahovic were denied by desperate Carlos Augusto and Francesco Acerbi blocks.
However, Juve scored on the resulting corner, as Gleison Bremer knocked the Manuel Locatelli cross back from the by-line for a splendid Lloyd Kelly volley off the inside of the left boot from 12 yards into the near bottom corner.
Debutant Akanji did well to intercept the Kenan Yildiz through ball for Vlahovic, bit Inter equalised when Carlos Augusto laid it off for the Hakan Calhanoglu daisy-cutter from the edge of the D with his weaker left foot.
Juventus restored their advantage, as Kenan Yildiz gathered from Bremer a long way out, turned and smashed the swerving finish into the near bottom corner.

Inter pinned the hosts back for long periods at the start of the second half, which eventually allowed them to equalise again. Marcus Thuram and Ange-Yoan Bonny knocked down a cross at the far post for Hakan Calhanoglu, who controlled with his chest and scored with a splendid volley from the edge of the area.
Lois Openda made his Juventus debut off the bench, but the Nerazzurri continued to keep the initiative and took the lead for the first time when Marcus Thuram was allowed a relatively free header on Federico Dimarco’s corner. He didn’t celebrate, aware his brother and father both support Juventus.
However, Khephren Thuram did celebrate when he rose for the header into the ground on a Kenan Yildiz free kick to make it 3-3 moments later.
It was not over yet, because Vasilije Adzic off the bench hit an absolute screamer from 30 yards out with his right foot that bent back Sommer’s glove into the top corner. Inter complained Khephren Thuram fouled Ange-Yoan Bonny first, but VAR gave the all-clear.

Inter pushed to the end, Marcus Thuram’s header going wide from a corner, but it was their second consecutive Serie A defeat.
