FC Barcelona have one game left before they can officially say goodbye to the 2025-26 season, i.e., the La Liga match against Valencia at Mestalla. Having already won La Liga, the stakes in this game would not be too high for the Blaugranes.
However, this match would still be special for several players, especially Robert Lewandowski, who would be playing his last game in a Barcelona shirt.
Meanwhile, Ferran Torres, who missed the last game against Real Betis due to minor muscular discomfort but trained normally with the team ahead of this match, would also be looking forward to this tie in which he would be playing against his former side.
But beyond this game, things are also looking quite positive for Ferran Torres in general. As reported by SPORT, Barcelona are planning to offer the Spanish forward a new contract in the near future following another impressive season in Blaugrana colours.
Meanwhile, Ferran himself remains fully committed to continuing at Barcelona and was reportedly frustrated by the recent rumours suggesting that he could be placed on the market this summer.
Despite attracting interest from clubs like Atletico Madrid, the Spaniard’s priority has always been to stay and succeed at Spotify Camp Nou.
For now, Barcelona have not yet opened formal talks with the player’s representatives, but the sporting department is expected to make contact during the summer.
With Ferran’s current contract running until 2027, the club is keen to avoid allowing him to enter the final year of his deal without clarity over his future, although Financial Fair Play and salary-related factors could still influence the timing of an agreement.
At this point, it seems only a matter of time before Barcelona make their move to secure Ferran Torres’ long-term continuity at the club.
