Barcelona were unable to unveil Cancelo before the Joan Gamper Trophy friendly against Al Ahly. His registration was not completed.
The Catalans hosted Egypt's Al Ahly at Spotify Camp Nou on Wednesday and introduced new midfielder Rodri, signed from Manchester City this summer. According to Goal.com, they had also planned to present Cancelo and pushed to finalise his paperwork before kick-off, but did not manage it.

Cancelo had been set to follow Rodri, wearing a Barcelona shirt numbered two, the number he wore in the second half of last season.
Instead he left the pitch without being introduced.
Lamine Yamal tried to ask him why, and Cancelo walked off angrily.
