According to Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona forward Ansu Fati’s move to Monaco is all but complete.
After weeks of negotiations, meetings and revised proposals, both the player and the Ligue 1 club have reached a full agreement, with only a minor fiscal matter still to be resolved.
Sources involved insist the remaining issue is purely administrative and is not expected to jeopardise the transfer.
It is anticipated that the matter will be settled early next week. Barcelona are particularly keen for everything to be completed before the close of the 2025/26 financial year on 30 June.

After a season on loan at Monaco, during which he enjoyed a solid spell, the La Masia graduate still harboured hopes of returning to his boyhood club.
However, the arrival of Anthony Gordon at Barcelona ultimately convinced Ansu that his chances of playing under Hansi Flick would be limited. With his path to regular minutes blocked, the 23-year-old began working seriously on a move to Monaco.
The Principality club had already informed Barcelona of their willingness to trigger the player’s €11 million release clause. From that point onwards, negotiations focused on two main areas.
On the player’s side, discussions centred around his salary and the length of his contract. Monaco were keen to significantly reduce the wages he earned at Barcelona.

Meanwhile, the Catalan club sought mechanisms to retain some control over the forward’s future, either through a buy-back clause or a percentage of any future sale.
The latest round of talks involving Ansu’s agent, Jorge Mendes, proved decisive, with all parties managing to iron out the remaining issues and put the agreement firmly on track.
Before leaving Barcelona, Ansu had signed a contract extension until June 2028, agreeing to defer part of his wages.
Monaco initially wanted the Spaniard to commit until 2031 on a five-year deal, but the player preferred a shorter contract. In the end, Ansu has secured a four-year agreement running until 2030, when he will be 28 years old.
Barring any unexpected complications, only the final tax-related formalities remain before the move becomes official.
