In the past few weeks, a lot has been said surrounding the future of Robert Lewandowski, with speculation ranging from him leaving the club in January to retiring at the end of the season.

Turkish clubs, in particular, are reportedly on red alert as they look to sign the Barcelona frontman in the upcoming January transfer window.

Although Fabrizio Romano has recently clarified that Lewandowski is not interested in a January move, clubs like Fenerbahce remain determined to sign the forward.

Lewandowski reject Fenerbahce’s offer

This time around, it appears Lewandowski has knocked back an offer from Turkish club Fenerbahce, reports Sky Sports’ Florian Plettenberg.

It appears the Polish frontman has no desire to leave Barcelona in the middle of the season, especially now that he is finding some form.

Indeed, the former Bayern Munich striker has been one of Barcelona’s most lethal players in the past few weeks and has already racked up eight goals for the season.

Lewandowski notably became the first player to score at Camp Nou upon its return after two and a half years, as he scored the opener in the win over Athletic Club.

The report from Sky adds that Lewandowski wants to stay at Barcelona at least until the summer before deciding what is going to happen next.

It is no secret that the Pole wants to continue his spell at Barcelona, who have an option to extend the deal by another year.

Lewandowski’s future at Barcelona, therefore, remains open and nothing has been set in stone as of yet, thogh Romano seems sure that the forward is likely to leave the club at the end of the season.
