Barcelona handed training ground boost

La Liga champions Barcelona were on Tuesday afforded some altogether welcome positive news on the personnel front.
This comes amid confirmation that Robert Lewandowski managed to complete almost the entirety of the group training session alongside the rest of Hansi Flick’s squad.
Frontman Lewandowski was for his part of course forced to sit out over the weekend, as Barcelona got the defence of their La Liga title up and running.
This came owing to a muscular injury suffered during training earlier this month.
The Blaugrana did not miss a step without their top scorer from last season, making short work of Mallorca to the tune of a 3-0 victory.
But Lewandowski nevertheless looks set to boost the options of boss Hansi Flick in the final third for this coming weekend.
As per a report from Mundo Deportivo:
‘The Polish striker completed almost the entire session with his teammates—he only missed the final part—and is confident he’ll be ready to play a few minutes in the second round of the league.’
Barca have been pencilled in for a matchday two meeting with Levante at the Estadi Ciutat de València this Saturday.
