After having helped the Italian team achieve promotion to Serie A in 2023 as an assistant coach, the Spaniard has already taken Como to the UEFA Champions League.

Over these last three years, the former midfielder has shown exceptional management skills and become one of the most fashionable coaches in Europe. In fact, he was being linked with a giant like Real Madrid some months ago.

However, it is FC Barcelona that are much more likely to have Fabregas on their bench in the near future. This is clear from a report from SPORT, which cites Gianluca di Marzio to reveal that the Spanish tactician has a special clause in his contract that would allow him to sign for one of his former clubs, Barcelona, Arsenal, or Chelsea, for only a symbolic sum.

The former Blaugrana midfielder has a contract with Como till 2028 and wants to fulfill this contract, particularly as he wants to continue growing with the Italian team. Meanwhile, Hansi Flick also has a contract with Barcelona till 2028, and the German coach has made it clear that this would be his last contract in football.

However, this clause will allow Cesc Fabregas to leave Como earlier, especially if the opportunity arose to manage one of his former clubs. Beyond Barcelona, he would also not mind a return to the Premier League, where either Arsenal or Chelsea can be his destination.
