In a recent report, Fichajes mentioned that Barcelona have identified Crystal Palace star Daniel Munoz as a target. It is believed that the Catalan club are showing interest in acquiring the services of the Colombian right-back next summer.
Munoz has made a bright start to this Premier League campaign after he put in a string of impressive displays on the right side of Oliver Glasner’s defence. The 29-year-old has found the back of the net twice and earned two assists in 13 matches for the Eagles this season across multiple competitions.
The Colombian talent has performed his defensive duties well as he has made 24 tackles, ten blocks, 11 interceptions and 35 clearances in the Premier League. However, he needs to improve his ball distribution based on his pass completion rate of 73.2% in the top tier of English football (stats via fbref.com).
His current contract at the London club will run out in the summer of 2028. Hence, Barcelona would have to launch a big offer if they want to lure Munoz to the Nou Camp next year.

Munoz loves a tackle and can sense the danger well to secure the ball back for his team inside his half. He usually puts his foot through the ball when the opposition are on the offensive and can make some strong runs with the ball.
The Colombian talent has got the eye to play some decisive passes in the opponent’s half and can shoot the ball well from long range. Munoz is primarily a right-back but can also function as a centre-back if told to do so. However, there are some concerns over whether he can make a smooth transition to life in La Liga.
We can expect Munoz to add more quality and depth to Barcelona boss Hansi Flick’s defence. He has what it takes to fight for a regular starting place at the Nou Camp.
At 29, Munoz is playing in his prime, which makes him a worthy target for the Catalan giants to pursue next year. Thus, Flick should focus on trying everything in his power to secure his services this winter or at the end of this campaign.
