It was pure dominance from Hansi Flick’s side as the Blaugrana thumped the goals beyond the visitors after some 23 shots to four. All the big names delivered over a promising 90 minutes of action for the hosts.

Raphinha kickstarted the party with a toe-poke finish before bundling home a ball in the box after the break. He secured his hat-trick eight minutes later when he received a brilliant through ball from Lamine Yamal.

Between those moments, Robert Lewandowski scored his fourth LaLiga goal after cushioning down a ball over the top, again set up by Yamal. The Poland striker is the first to hit four goals in his first four games since Lionel Messi in 2018/19.

Jules Koundé was another man on the scoresheet who pounced on a loose ball in the box. Summer signing Dani Olmo earned a starting nod from Flick after his debut heroics and scored his second goal for the club in as many games.

The Spaniard cruised past three Valladolid defenders in the box and finished into the far right corner. Raphinha then set up Barcelona’s seventh of the night for substitute Ferran Torres who drove home a darting cross into the box.

The result means Barcelona sit top of LaLiga with a perfect 12 points (seven above Real Madrid) while Valladolid are 12th.
