Barcelona in talks with Inter Milan over swap deal involving Alejandro Balde | OneFootball

FC Barcelona have very little time left before the end of the summer transfer window to reinforce their squad any further. Despite having made some important moves already this summer, it seems that the club wishes to sign another player if possible.

After all, recent days have mostly been all about offloading players and trying to generate revenue from those player sales. However, a major new update has now revealed that the Catalan giants are in talks with Serie A giants Inter Milan over a potential swap deal.

According to SPORT, Barça are currently in talks with Inter Milan over a possible deal that could see Alejandro Balde heading to Italy while 28-year-old Federico Dimarco makes his way to Spain. Beyond the swap, the report claims that Barça would have to pay a little extra as well.

As of right now, however, the report also confirms that Inter Milan are a bit hesitant to lose such a key player and that is why the deal is considered complicated. Still, it is one that Barcelona is reportedly working on and they seem to believe that it would improve the current squad.

At the same time, it might allow the club to offload Balde despite reports suggesting that the young full-back wishes to continue at Barça and fight for a place in the team. However, if Dimarco were to arrive, Barcelona would have great squad depth as it is on the left flank thanks to the likes of Joao Cancelo and Xavi Espart.

In fact, the latter has earned a lot of praise from Hansi Flick recently and continues to develop exceptionally quickly under his guidance. However, with the summer transfer window set to close shortly, Barça will need to figure out any and all pending transfer operations as soon as possible.
