Hansi Flick now has all the players currently belonging to the FC Barcelona first-team squad at his disposal.
With the return of the remaining Spanish internationals after their World Cup break on Wednesday, the German coach finally has the full group together, although several arrivals and departures are still yet to be finalised.
One of those returning on Wednesday was Pedri. However, the midfielder has not joined his teammates in group training since his return.
Asked about his absence, club sources explained that the Canary Islander is following a specific return-to-work programme, reports Mundo Deportivo.

The 23-year-old midfield maestro, a recent World Cup winner, had already shared images of himself training alone before returning to Barcelona.
Since coming back, he has been working individually rather than training with the rest of the squad.
As per the report, the decision for Pedri to start away from the group is strictly related to his physical conditioning. He was advised to begin his first few days in the gym, working individually before gradually increasing his workload.
The plan is for Pedri to start running on the pitch this Saturday, marking the next stage of his return to normal training.

Barcelona are stressing that there is no medical concern surrounding the midfielder. His absence from the team’s sessions over the past two days is simply the result of an individual training plan.
The La Liga champions remain completely calm about the situation. Pedri is expected to progressively increase his workload over the coming days before returning to full training with Flick’s squad.
However, it appears unlikely that the former Las Palmas wonderkid will be involved in the weekend friendly against FC Basel. Only time will tell if he features in the Joan Gamper Trophy match against Al Ahly next Wednesday.
But, given that there are no major concerns surrounding his fitness, it is likely that the midfield superstar will be ready to play for the Blaugrana’s 2026/27 season opener against Elche on 23 August.
