Atalanta midfielder Ederson has been raising eyebrows with his performances in Serie A.
Next summer, he could emerge as one of the most sought-after prospects in the market, with his current contract at Atalanta expiring in 2027.
This means the Italian outfit could be forced to sell the Brazilian star on a cut-price deal, and there is no shortage of suitors.
According to Caught Offside, Liverpool are among the clubs interested in the services of Ederson next season.
However, the Premier League giants face stiff competition from Barcelona, who are equally keen on bringing the midfielder to Camp Nou.
It must be noted that Ederson is one of the players suggested by Andre Cury to Barcelona. Cury is the agent of former Barcelona target and current Chelsea rising star Estevao.

He has also worked closely with Barcelona in the past, notably helping them sign players like Arturo Vidal and Paulinho.
Deco, too, is well versed with the South American market, and it appears he has identified Ederson as an ideal midfield reinforcement for next season.
A central midfielder by trade, Ederson has made over 150 competitive appearances for Atalanta and can offer technical quality as well as flexibility to the table.
However, a potential worry for Barcelona could be the Brazilian’s price tag, which could reach up to €45 million.
With Liverpool and other Premier League clubs interested in his services, Barcelona are certainly not in a position to indulge in a bidding war for the Brazilian international.
A lot, therefore, would depend on the midfielder himself and whether or not he is ready to push for a move to Barcelona, so that Atalanta can be pressurised to sell him for cheap.
