The powers that be at La Liga giants Barcelona have added a new name to their shortlist of targets to reinforce the club’s frontline.
That’s according to Diario Sport, who point towards Eintracht Frankfurt star Omar Marmoush as the player in question.
The name of frontman Marmoush has of course positioned itself front and centre in the media headlines across all of Europe over the early months of the new campaign.
This comes with the Moroccan in the midst of nothing short of a sensational stretch of form.
Across 16 appearances in all competitions, Marmoush has racked up a head-turning 24 direct goal contributions, by way of 14 goals and ten assists.
A whole host of the continent’s leading clubs, in turn, are understood to be closely monitoring the progress of the 25-year-old.
And, as alluded to above, over recent days, La Liga leaders Barcelona have added their name to this list.
Amid an ongoing search for fresh blood in the attacking third, Deco and his transfer team have earmarked Marmoush as a leading target, enthused by the ability of the Moroccan international to line out in a variety of positions in the final third.
He is considered a more cost-friendly option to the likes of Erling Haaland and Viktor Gyökeres, currently rated at around €45 million by Eintracht Frankfurt.
