La Liga champions Barcelona sent a team of scouts to watch the recent Champions League meeting between VfB Stuttgart and Viking. This came with a view to taking in the performance of Finn Jeltsch.
Defender Jeltsch has for his part emerged as a central figure in the media chatter in his home country over the last couple of weeks. This comes after the 20-year-old was afforded a first-ever call-up to the German senior national squad.
Jeltsch has thoroughly impressed with his performances at the heart of Stuttgart’s backline over the early weeks of the new campaign, with his talents on the ball having garnered widespread attention.
Such gifts have already given rise to links with some of European football’s leading clubs, with Real Madrid one such side understood to be keeping a close eye on the situation of the German.
And as alluded to above, Los Blancos are not the only big-name La Liga club tracking Jeltsch’s development…
As per a report from Sky Sport Germany:
‘Finn Jeltsch has sparked interest from Europe’s top clubs with his performances at VfB Stuttgart. During the Champions League match against Viking Stavanger, scouts from Inter Milan and FC Barcelona were among those in the stands, among others.’
