Barcelona have identified Yann Diomande as one of the most exciting attacking prospects in Europe, but a potential move for the RB Leipzig winger is currently far from realistic.
As reported by SPORT, the Catalan club are closely monitoring Diomande’s development and are impressed by his profile.
In fact, he is viewed as a player who could seriously reinforce the wide areas, although despite this strong interest, the deal is considered out of reach at this stage.
As per the outlet, there are two key factors behind this situation.
The first is financial. Diomande’s valuation has surged significantly, with multiple Premier League clubs already prepared to invest heavily in his signing.
Teams like Chelsea and Liverpool are reportedly willing to exceed €60 million, a figure that currently places Barcelona at a disadvantage.
The second factor is Barcelona’s priority. While the Blaugrana are open to reinforcing their attacking options, strengthening the wing is not at the top of their agenda.

The club’s immediate focus is on signing a centre-forward and a left-footed centre-back, positions considered more urgent as they look to balance the squad ahead of next season.
That said, Diomande’s name has not been completely ruled out.
Barcelona continue to track market opportunities closely, and the winger remains on their radar as a long-term option apart from options like Ez Abde, Jan Virgili, and Andreas Schjelderup.
Within the club, there is a clear appreciation for his talent, and he is seen as a signing that would bring quality without raising doubts.
However, a change in circumstances will only occur if there is an unexpected departure in the attacking department.
It is only in this condition that Barcelona will revisit the possibility of pursuing Diomande.
