This comes owing to developments in the Blaugrana’s latest outing.

Hansi Flick’s troops are of course currently locked in action on the domestic front, in a league meeting with Catalan rivals Girona.

As things stand at the Estadi Montilivi, the two sides are deadlocked at a goal apiece, after Pau Cubarsí’s opener was quickly cancelled out by Thomas Lemar at the other end.

Barca, though, had a golden opportunity to take the lead even earlier in proceedings.

After the visitors were awarded a penalty late in the first-half, Lamine Yamal stood up to take responsibility.

The youngster’s ensuing effort, however, rattled the base of the post.

And owing to as much, Barcelona secured for themselves a share of an altogether undesirable La Liga statistic.

As revealed by Opta:

‘No other team has missed more penalties than Barcelona in La Liga this season (3/7, level with Valencia 3/5).’
