Barcelona’s on-loan defender Hector Fort was officially presented by his new club, Elche, on Wednesday at the Martinez Valero.

During the presentation, Fort and his teammates spoke to the media about their first weeks at the La Liga club.

One of the key questions for Fort was how he sees the difference between Barça coach Hansi Flick and Elche coach Eder Sarabia.

Fort’s take on Flick and Sarabia

The young defender could not hide his laughter as he answered, showing respect for both coaches. Fort praised them openly, saying, “First and foremost, the language.

“But ultimately, they are two different people doing the same job, and every professional has their own way of working, all of which deserves respect.

“Look at everything Hansi has achieved with Barcelona, it’s no coincidence.

“And I would say the same about Eder, each in their own way, but both do things well, so everything is fine.”

Fort’s response shows his admiration for Hansi Flick, while also appreciating the work of his new coach at Elche.

While he did get many chances at Barcelona under Flick, he still holds at the German manager in high regards and appreciates how the club has developed under his regime.

Injury setback at Elche

Meanwhile, despite the promising start, Fort’s time at Elche hasn’t been smooth so far.

He made his first start against Osasuna but suffered a minor muscle injury that will keep him out of Elche’s upcoming match against Alaves.

Notably, the defender was forced to watch the Celta Vigo match from the stands due to these discomforts.

Although the injury is not serious, it means Fort will miss his second consecutive match for his new team.

This is a temporary setback, but it also gives him time to recover fully and continue adapting to his new team.
