Barcelona midfielder names Atlético star as the one player he would sign for Blaugrana | OneFootball

Barcelona star Marc Bernal this week named a member of the attacking ranks at La Liga rivals Atlético Madrid as his dream signing for the Blaugrana.

The player in question? Julián Alvarez.

Frontman Alvarez has of course seen his name heavily linked with that of Barcelona over recent weeks.

This comes amid the widespread understanding that those behind the scenes at the Camp Nou have earmarked the Argentine as a leading target to replace the outbound Robert Lewandowski.

The finances involved in any deal would likely be astronomical, but Alvarez is considered the perfect profile to lead Hansi Flick’s frontline for years to come.

And as alluded to above, sharing such a viewpoint is a current member of Barca’s first-team ranks.

Speaking during an interview with Diari Ara (as cited by AS) this week, Marc Bernal was asked to name one player whom he would choose to sign for the Blaugrana next summer.

And the midfield starlet did not hesitate in responding:

“I would sign Julián Alvarez.”
