Hansi Flick has rotated heavily during the opening weeks of the 2025-26 campaign, using a wide variety of players as Barcelona have collected six wins and one draw from their first seven fixtures.

Even so, a few names have stood out for their constant presence in the German coach’s lineups. Until now, as highlighted by Mundo Deportivo, Joan Garcia and Pedri were the only two players to have started every single match.

However, with Garcia sidelined through injury, only the Canarian midfielder has a chance to maintain a 100% starting record heading into the clash with Real Sociedad.

Whether he does so remains to be seen, especially given the decisive Champions League tie against PSG that awaits immediately after the La Liga fixture.

Pedri’s workload so far has been remarkable. He played the full 90 minutes in the opening three league games against Mallorca, Levante, and Rayo Vallecano, before being substituted late on against Valencia.

He then completed the entire match against Newcastle United in the Champions League and started again in the most recent league fixtures against Getafe and Real Oviedo, where he was given a brief rest near the end.

Adding in his appearances for Spain, Pedri has now featured in nearly 80 consecutive matches, with his last absence dating back to January, when he missed a clash with Valencia due to illness.

Thus, Hansi Flick will have to find a way to ensure the Barcelona midfielder is not overused, as the season is only going to become more difficult as it goes on.
