Other English suitors of the Spanish midfielder include Aston Villa, Newcastle United, Brighton and Hove Albion, and Sunderland. Other teams like Manchester United and Chelsea were previously interested in him, but have now turned their attention elsewhere.

A move to the Premier League would be quite appealing for Casado, who has rejected moves to Saudi Arabia, where he would have received a significantly higher salary, mainly because he wanted to continue playing in Europe to showcase his talents at the highest level.

Barcelona are expecting to get around €40 million from his sale, and Marc Casado, along with other players like Hector Fort, Guille Fernandez, and Tony Fernandez, has been training apart from the team for the last several days to ensure he does not suffer an untimely injury while his future at the club is being determined.
