With only one and a half weeks left till the start of La Liga for FC Barcelona, time is fast running out for the Blaugranes to replace Robert Lewandowski in their squad. The Pole left the Catalan team at the end of the last season, but the Spanish club has not been able to replace him so far mainly because they have identified Julian Alvarez as their preferred option for this role, and Atletico Madrid are not willing to negotiate his departure.

Meanwhile, Barcelona are running out of other possible options for this role. Fisnik Asllani had agreed a move to RB Leipzig, but failed his medical, and this will also raise doubts about him in the Catalans’ minds. Similarly, Eli Junior Kroupi is also out with a long-term injury, and thus cannot be signed this summer.

Now, it seems like another option has gone out of the Blaugranes’ hands, as SPORT cites Fabrizio Romano to report that the Serbian striker Dusan Vlahovic has agreed to sign a three-year contract with the Turkish side Besiktas, and will be travelling to Istanbul to complete this transfer soon.

The former Juventus forward was one of the most attractive forwards in this market as his contract with the Italian side ran out at the end of the last season, and he was available to be signed for free. The Turkish side had put up a proposal for him and had been waiting for quite a long time, but the player had offered himself to other big European clubs, and kept waiting for an opportunity.
