According to journalist Florian Plattenberg, Barcelona are monitoring Fisnik Asllani, the 23-year-old Hoffenheim striker who has a ‘written release clause’ for next summer.
It is said that the Catalan club have already been informed about the player’s situation and are watching his progress closely.
The journalist mentions that a move to a major European side seems to be part of Asllani’s plan, with the forward expected to take the next step in his career and join a club that competes regularly in the Champions League.
Speaking to Sport Bild recently, Asllani made no secret of where he hopes to play one day, saying: “My dream club have always been FC Barcelona. I’ve always wanted to play there.”
The 23-year-old forward has become a key figure for Hoffenheim this season. His sharp finishing and instinctive positioning have earned him plenty of praise in Germany, helping his team maintain stability in the middle of the Bundesliga table.

So far, Asllani has scored five goals and two assists in seven matches, which are impressive numbers for a club with limited attacking resources.
It must be noted that Asllani signed a contract extension with Hoffenheim only a few months ago, but included a special clause allowing him to leave for a “reasonable price” if an offer arrives from a Champions League club next summer.
His release clause is expected to remain below €30 million, which makes him an appealing and affordable option for top sides.
It is being highlighted that Barcelona are actively searching the market for a reliable striker who could eventually replace Robert Lewandowski, whose current deal expires at the end of the season.
While there have been no direct contacts or formal negotiations between the two clubs, the growing links between Asllani and Barça are becoming difficult to ignore.
