PSG doesn’t look to make any moves outside of the Dro Fernandez this winter transfer window. However, the capital club could still be laying the groundwork for a potential move in the summer, thinking more long-term than short-term.
The Parisians’ handling of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is a clear example of how the club can operate. The winger was on PSG’s radar throughout 2024, but the club waited until early 2025 to make a move, once the timing fit into a broader plan.
According to Football Insider, PSG are also keeping tabs on Marcus Rashford’s situation at Barcelona. The Spanish side appear prepared to trigger the €35 million release clause, though PSG could emerge as an option if talks fail to progress.
That said, transfer journalist Ben Jacobs has suggested there is no push for Rashford right now. While PSG are expected to target a versatile attacker in 2026, a move for Rashford this season is not on the agenda.

The latest update on this file comes from Football Insider, which notes that PSG could be in line to challenge Barcelona for a permanent move for Rashford this summer.
Moreover, the French side have held a long-standing interest in the England international, though the attacker would prefer to remain at Barca over the long term.
Meanwhile, CaughtOffside reported on Jan. 14 that PSG have admired Rashford for years and have explored a potential swap deal involving Bradley Barcola. But Rashford does not want a move to France, making this scenario highly unlikely.
According to a recent report from transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, Rashford has told Barcelona he wants to remain with the club beyond this season. While a formal deal hasn’t been finalized, Barcelona are reportedly “very happy” with the England international’s impact so far.
