Barcelona’s efforts to restore financial stability this summer may require a significant sacrifice, and Jules Kounde has emerged as one of the players the club could consider selling.
According to SPORT, the French defender is available on the market for around €65 million, with Barcelona prepared to study offers if suitable proposals arrive.
The decision is linked directly to the club’s ongoing objective of complying with La Liga’s 1:1 rule, which remains a priority in order to sign a new player.
While departures such as Ansu Fati’s have already helped ease the wage bill, the feeling within the club is that another high-profile exit may still be required.
The Jules Kounde situation has gained attention at a time when Barcelona are actively searching for ways to improve their financial position.
The French international is enjoying a positive tournament with France at the World Cup, and his performances have only reinforced his value in the transfer market.
Barcelona believe his profile could attract significant interest from England, particularly from clubs capable of investing heavily in defensive reinforcements.

On that note, the aforementioned outlet reports that the Catalan side would be prepared to open discussions starting from €65 million.
On that note, Chelsea remain attentive to Kounde’s situation after missing out on signing him earlier, while Liverpool are also understood to be monitoring developments.
At the moment, though, the biggest uncertainty concerns the player himself.
Kounde recently committed his future to Barcelona by extending his contract until 2030 and securing improved financial terms.
He is comfortable at the club and has shown no indication that he is actively seeking a departure.
However, should the defender become receptive to a move, the exit operation could gather pace.

Barcelona transfer plans this summer are not solely focused on arrivals, as achieving financial flexibility remains essential if the club are to operate freely in the market and satisfy La Liga’s registration requirements.
Ansu Fati has already left, while Marc-Andre ter Stegen and Marc Casadó are among the names linked with potential exits.
Yet Barcelona continue to pursue a larger transfer capable of generating a substantial fee without significantly weakening the core of Hansi Flick’s squad.
That objective has led the sporting department to assess different scenarios.
Right now, Alejandro Balde and Ronald Araujo have both been considered as players who could command major offers, but neither defender is believed to have any intention of leaving.
As a result, Kounde’s name has increasingly gained prominence.
