After a controversial summer transfer window, Marc-Andre ter Stegen may soon return in contention for Barcelona.
The German international is currently going through recovery after surgery in the summer, with a report from Diario SPORT suggesting that he is in the final stage of his road to recovery.
In fact, ter Stegen may receive a medical clearance by the end of November, although it won’t matter much for Barcelona from a sporting perspective.
Indeed, ter Stegen’s return will be more about finding a suitor for him rather than him actually competing with Joan Garcia for a place in the starting eleven.
The German international is not a part of Hansi Flick’s plans and Barcelona are expected to find potential suitors for him in the January transfer window.

Ter Stegen, for his part, has resisted the idea of leaving Barcelona. But with the goalkeeper eyeing a place for Germany in the upcoming FIFA World Cup, playing regularly could be key.
A host of Premier League clubs have already shown interest in the former Gladbach star, who remains Germany’s top-choice goalkeeper, at least for now.
Chelsea are among the clubs interested in a move for ter Stegen, as they look for an experienced goalkeeper in the upcoming January transfer window.
However, the Blues are also open to a move for Maik Maignan, who was close to joining Stamford Bridge in the summer, but the move broke down at the last minute.
A loan move in January could be a possibility, but it would ultimately depend on ter Stegen’s willingness to leave Barcelona and how much Chelsea are willing to offer, in terms of salary.
