Barcelona pair ranked as the two best U20 players in world football | OneFootball

La Liga giants Barcelona can boast of having the two standout U20 players in world football on their books at present.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, relaying information on the part of the reliable CIES (International Center for Sports Studies).

Sitting at the very top of the pile, it should come as little surprise to hear, is Blaugrana sensation Lamine Yamal.

Despite being just 18 years of age, Lamine is considered by many to be the very best player on the globe at this moment in time.

And following the winger in 2nd place in the CIES’ standings is teammate and close friend Pau Cubarsí.

Also just 18 years old, defender Cubarsí has long been one of the first names on the team sheet of Hansi Flick’s star-studded Barca.

As per MD:

‘Based on an index calculated from data collected by the ‘Impect’ platform, the CIES ranks Lamine Yamal as the best player under 20 years old, and Pau Cubarsí as the second.’

Elsewhere in the top-10 are the likes of Real Madrid summer signing Franco Mastantuono, Arsenal talent Myles Lewis-Skelly, and recent Chelsea recruit Jorrel Hato.
