It would appear that there are still some operations that require a resolution at FC Barcelona. While the Catalan club is not expected to sign any more players this summer, exits appear to be a different topic altogether. In that context, certain sales might still end up taking place.
However, while some players can struggle to bring in suitors, others manage to bring in a lot of them. Marc Casado appears to be one such player, but the reality of his situation is that the 21-year-old midfielder does not wish to leave Barça.

Still, according to SPORT, the club plans on sitting down with him and discussing his future. They wish to properly understand his stance, but also make it clear to him that the current situation of the midfielders at the club makes it quite difficult for him to get regular minutes.
The club will reportedly try to understand Casado’s final decision, and only then would things progress further. For now, it seems unlikely that the player’s intention to stay at Barça would change, even though there is a lot of competition at the club.
With Frenkie de Jong expected to renew his contract and remain a pivotal part of Hansi Flick’s plans, Marc Bernal expected to recover and gradually be reintegrated into the team, and with Gavi’s recent resurgence, Casado’s opportunities could be limited. Still, there are many clubs interested in him despite his reluctance to leave.
The upcoming meeting should provide some clarity, and further actions could be assessed then. For now, however, Casado remains determined to fight for opportunities even with some big clubs reportedly being willing to spend good money to secure his services.
