A big UEFA Champions League game arrives for FC Barcelona at the Montjuic Stadium. With Paris Saint-Germain visiting the Catalan giants in Spain, this is undeniably one of the most anticipated games of the UCL league phase.

However, with some notable injuries and players unavailable, Hansi Flick will have to work things out using the players already at his disposal. Fortunately, he has enough quality players in his team to field a formidable starting eleven to take on PSG and aim for revenge for their last clash against one another.

Here is how Barcelona could line up for this game.

Expected Line-up:

Goalkeeper: Wojciech Szczesny

With Joan Garcia set to miss this massive UCL clash due to injury, Barça are fortunate enough to have Wojciech Szczesny as his replacement. The Polish veteran has a lot of experience under his belt, and it could be put to good use here.

Right-back: Jules Kounde

The Frenchman has found his best version again and that is great news for Barça. However, he will now need to deliver in a game where there will be a lot of eyes and expectations from this Catalan side.

Centre-back: Ronald Araujo

There is no doubt that the Uruguayan defender does not have fond memories of his last outing against PSG. Fortunately, he might finally get a chance to redeem himself in this game.

Centre-back: Pau Cubarsi

The Spaniard’s ball-playing quality and ability to read the game will both likely be very crucial in this game. For that reason, starting him almost feels like a guarantee for Hansi Flick.

Left-back: Gerard Martin

While Alejandro Balde will likely be available as well, it seems uncertain as to whether or not he will start this game. In that case, the safest bet would be to assume that Gerard Martin will start this match as well.

A crucial facilitator for the rest of the players around him, Frenkie de Jong is an integral part of Barça’s ball progression. He continues to be important in each game, and he will need to be at his very best for this particular clash.

CDM: Pedri

The Spaniard will be crucial in this game, and if his words before the game are anything to go by, a big performance can be expected. For Barcelona, it is essential that Pedri plays his best brand of football against PSG.

A big test awaits for Lamine Yamal in the form of Nuno Mendes, and the young Spaniard needs to get some payback here. His quality and talent is undeniable, and he will get the chance to prove it to the world in this game.

With Fermin Lopez out injured, Dani Olmo seems to be the obvious choice for this game. However, Barça will need him to be at the top of his game to deliver the kind of performance that is needed to unsettle a team as good as PSG.

LAM: Marcus Rashford

A man in red-hot form right now, Marcus Rashford is chipping in one way or another in each game. This will be another opportunity for him to make his mark playing an opponent that he has good memories against.

The Spaniard is typically more agile and effective in pressing than Robert Lewandowski, and that could be the key in this game. However, whoever ends up starting, the goal will be to be as clinical as possible.
