‘He’ll face the best in the world’ – PSG star sends warning to Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal | OneFootball

Barcelona star Lamine Yamal has this week been sent something of a warning, by way of Paris Saint-Germain standout Achraf Hakimi.

This comes as Lamine prepares to face off with Nuno Mendes for the latest occasion.

Barcelona and PSG are of course primed to lock horns in a continental clash on Wednesday evening.

In a highly-anticipated showdown piquing attentions amongst fans across the club, the former will welcome ex-manager Luis Enrique and his reigning tournament holders to Catalunya’s capital for a Champions League matchup.

Expected to be back in from the off for the night is the aforementioned Lamine Yamal, now fully recovered from a recent injury setback.

Awaiting the 18-year-old on Wednesday, though, is an altogether tough task, in getting the better of Nuno Mendes.

Widely considered to be the standout left-back in world football at present, the Portuguese is one of few players to have bested Lamine over the course of 90 minutes in the past.

And speaking to the media in a pre-match press conference on Tuesday, fellow PSG full-back Achraf Hakimi moved to remind Lamine of precisely as much, in explaining:

“Lamine Yamal will face the best left-back in the world, Nuno Mendes. He has already shown that he is capable of stopping him.”
