Up next for FC Barcelona is a trip to Belgium where Club Brugge awaits them. Their newest challenge in the UEFA Champions League, this is a game where Hansi Flick’s team will want all three points for themselves.
However, this is not a side that can be underestimated. Thus, it would make sense for Flick to field a strong starting eleven to ensure that the display that Barça manages to put on the field is the best possible one that they can manage.
Here is how Barça could line up against Club Brugge.
Expected Line-up:
Goalkeeper: Wojciech Szczesny
With Joan Garcia nearing his return, it seems clear that Wojciech Szczesny’s days as a starter for Barcelona might be limited. Still, he remains the top option until that happens.
Right-back: Jules Kounde
Still not at his absolute best but his last performance showcased genuine improvement. He seems likely to start here as well.
Centre-back: Ronald Araujo
Put in a good display in the previous game, so Ronald Araujo should remain a starter for this game as well. For now, he seems to have earned that right.
Centre-back: Pau Cubarsi
After having been rested in the previous game against Elche, Pau Cubarsi should be good to go for this encounter in the Champions League.
Left-back: Alejandro Balde
Impressed in his previous outing against Elche, and he seems to be regaining his rhythm. It seems likely that Hansi Flick will rely on him for this game as well.
CDM: Marc Casado
His intensity and energy in the previous game was great to see, and he seems to be the right choice to replace Pedri while he recovers from his injury.
CDM: Frenkie de Jong
Many wanted him to step up in Pedri’s absence, and that is exactly what the Dutchman did in his previous outing. More of the same will be expected from him.

RAM: Lamine Yamal
The young winger finally seems to have shaken off his recurring discomfort, and he looked dangerous in the last game. If he ends up starting again, Flick will be hoping for more of the same.
CAM: Fermin Lopez
His goalscoring form remains impressive this season, and he managed to score a hattrick in his previous Champions League appearance. Thus, Fermin Lopez should be a great contender to start here.
LAM: Marcus Rashford
Another player who is currently enjoying an impressive run of goalscoring form and is even providing a lot of assists, Marcus Rashford should be starting as well.
Centre-forward: Robert Lewandowski
While the Polish ace was unable to find the back of the net in his last cameo, he might have a better chance if he ends up starting. The €10 million-rated Barcelona forward, as per his Transfermarkt valuation, could potentially replace Ferran Torres for this game.
