Barcelona & Real Madrid stars to lock horns in star-studded international clash | OneFootball

Leading members of the first-team ranks at Spanish football’s two biggest clubs could be primed to face off in a high-profile international friendly clash next year.

That’s according to L’Équipe, who have revealed that talks are ongoing over a meeting between Brazil and France.

The matchup, which is dependent on the latter securing their place at the World Cup, is being eyed for March of 2026.

It would be expected to take place at a neutral location, potentially in the USA.

In the case of the fixture being given the go ahead by the two countries’ federations, players from Barcelona and Real Madrid will likely play a leading role.

From the former’s squad, the likes of Jules Koundé and Raphinha will be involved.

Xabi Alonso’s Real ranks, meanwhile, could be represented by a whole host of stars, including Kylian Mbappé, Eduardo Camavinga, Aurélien Tchouaméni, Éder Militão, Rodrygo, Vinícius Jr, and Endrick.
