Following their 3-1 triumph over Atletico Madrid, FC Barcelona will be looking to strengthen their grip at the top of the table when they face off against Real Betis this Saturday.
Leading up to the encounter away at Estadio La Cartuja, the Blaugrana have received a major double boost on the fitness front.
Indeed, as reported by SPORT, Fermin Lopez and Frenkie de Jong, who missed Barcelona’s last two matches, were back in today’s training session.
Fermin missed the matches against Alaves and Atletico Madrid due to a soleus injury caused by a challenge from Oihan Sancet in game against Athletic Club match. The discomfort increased after he played against Chelsea, leading to him getting sidelined.
Fermin’s recovery has gone very well, and he has managed to shorten the two-week timeline in order to return as soon as possible.

Earlier today, he was able to complete part of the session with the group, and it is not impossible that he earns minutes against Betis, although the match marked for his full return is next Tuesday in the Champions League against Eintracht Frankfurt.
Meanwhile, De Jong missed Barcelona’s last two matches against Alaves and Atletico due to personal reasons and a fever, respectively. A suspension kept him out of the Athletic Club clash as well, meaning he has yet to play at the renovated Spotify Camp Nou.
Having recovered from the fever, De Jong was one of the first to arrive at the Ciutat Esportiva, early at 9 am, and he should now be ready to play on Saturday against Real Betis.
Apart from the two returns, there was another special appearance at the training ground today as Barcelona legend Andres Iniesta visited the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper.
