Barcelona will be without Lamine Yamal for a third game in a row, with the 18-year-old star unable to shake off back problems. Pau Cubarsi is also a doubt for their next clash with Getafe, after coming off against Newcastle United in the Champions League on Thursday night.
According to Sport, Lamine Yamal will not reappear against Getafe on Sunday night (21:00 CEST), with his back issues continuing. They say that he is having daily physiotherapy sessions in order to speed up his recovery, but Barcelona are keen not to rush him back, and will not take a risk this weekend.
There is better news regarding an injury to Cubarsi, who was brought off as a precaution at St. James’ Park following a blow to his knee. While he did experience pain in his left knee, it appears to be merely a knock, and Cubarsi is set to be available for Hansi Flick. However he may see it as a good excuse to rotate, with two more midweek games on the way.

As reported earlier this week, Barcelona’s desire is to have Lamine Yamal back at 100% for their clash with Paris Saint-Germain on the 1st of October. That could mean some minutes for Lamine Yamal against Real Sociedad on the 28th of September, but it seems he will also miss out against Real Oviedo in midweek, barring a surprise.
It seems likely that Raphinha will remain on the right flank for Barcelona, as was the case against Newcastle. Flick could also turn to Roony Bardghji, who began their match with Valencia, but was take off for the Brazilian at half-time. Those would be the most natural options, although Dani Olmo, Fermin Lopez and Ferran Torres have all been used there in the past.
