A leading member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona was highly self-critical, on the back of the club’s latest outing.
The player in question? Raphinha.
Wide-man Raphinha was of course in from the off once more last night, as Barcelona made the trip to Espanyol with the La Liga title on the line.
The Blaugrana, when all was said and done, emerged on the right side of a 2-0 result, in the process securing their status as Spanish champions for the 28th time.
Raphinha, however, failed to play any sort of telling role. In fact, the Brazilian was singled out for heavy criticism by the Barca faithful for his disappointing showing.
And as alluded to above, Raphinha is himself fully aware of the fact that he was not at his best at RCDE Stadium.
Speaking during an exchange with the media on the back of Barcelona’s title triumph being confirmed, the former Leeds United man, who has enjoyed a brilliant season all told, admitted:
“It was one of my worst matches this season, but the most important thing is that we won.”
