Barcelona star Ferran Torres was responsible for a head-turning statistic across the opening 45 minutes of the club’s latest outing.

This, unfortunately for the Spanish international, came for altogether negative reasons…

Frontman Ferran was for his part back in from the off on Thursday, leading the line for Hansi Flick’s troops in a Copa del Rey meeting with 2nd-tier Racing Club.

As much comes after the former Manchester City man was forced to make do with a spot on the bench for last weekend’s Spanish Super Cup finale.

Safe to say, however, that Ferran has since struggled to justify his inclusion ahead of Robert Lewandowski…

Amid what has been an underwhelming showing to date all told on the part of Barcelona, the club’s attacking spearhead has been amongst the most disappointing performers.

These woes have been perfectly summed up by one alarming statistic, the fact that Ferran completed just three passes over the course of the entire first-half in Santander.
